Pictoral History of Brixworth - 2nd Edition - £10 +£1.50 p&p (UK)

Published December 2012

This book looks at life in the village from photographs and memories of the people who have lived here. There is information from the late nineteenth century to the beginning of the 21st.

Our last book is sold out and we have spent the last 18 months researching information for another one to supplement the information.

Aspects of life covered are the schools and school sports, village celebrations; the pubs and inns; clubs, groups and some village industry and businesses.

During our research we found evidence  of at least ten pubs in the 1840s and at a time when the population of the village was only about 1200!

A lot of villagers helped with information gathering, for which we are

extremely grateful; in addition we were very pleased to be given many more photographs to copy for the archives.

Locally, copies may be purchased from any commitee member

or from Blason's garage, Hamson's Garage or Brixworth Library
